UWA uses the EasyPark digital parking system, making it easier for our students, staff and visitors to manage parking.
What you need to know
For students and visitors
Yellow bays: available for student and visitor parking.
- UWA Health Campus: only eligible students with an EasyPark UWA account can park in Yellow bays at Car Park 101.
- Optometry building: only eligible students with an EasyPark UWA account can park in Yellow bays at Car Park 65 during teaching semesters.
For staff
Red bays: staff parking is available in Red bays via EasyPark's pay-as-you-go (PAYG) parking. Annual or prepaid permits are not available.

Benefits of EasyPark
- Start and stop your parking using your phone, from anywhere
- Only pay for the time you use
- Reminders when your parking session is about to expire
- No charge for a parking session under 30-minutes (one free session per day)
UWA's paid parking hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. Parking is free after these hours (always check the parking signs).

Parking rates
Student rate (eligible students in Yellow bays): 50c per hour, capped at $2 per session*
- *A session is valid for a full day. If you park for 4 or more hours in a single session, the maximum payment remains at $2.
- If you leave campus and return to a different car park, you must end your previous session and start a new one.
Visitor rate (Yellow and Green bays): $3 per hour.
- Green bays: exclusively reserved for visitors attending UWA clinics (optometry, sleep and podiatry, Oral Health Centre), University Club members and Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery visitors, at $3 per hour. Student rates do not apply in Green bays.
- Always check signage and bay colour for zone confirmation.
No charge for a parking session under 30-minutes (one free session per day).

Can I still purchase a semester parking permit as a student?
All students must use the PAYG parking option via the EasyPark app.

Who qualifies for student rates?
Any eligible UWA student will automatically receive an email from [email protected] with instructions to activate your student parking account to access the discounted parking rates.

How do I register as a UWA student with EasyPark?
- Complete the student parking application form sent to your UWA email account to confirm eligibility.
- Once approved, you will receive a confirmation email that activates access to student rates.
- Download the EasyPark app, sign in using your UWA credentials, set up your account, add a vehicle and enter payment details.

How much will parking cost if I'm an eligible UWA student?
If you are an eligible UWA student registered with EasyPark, you will pay 50c per hour, capped at $2 per parking session in Yellow bays.

What if I'm not eligible for student rates?
You can still park in the Yellow bays using the EasyPark app or a parking machine, however, you will be charged at the visitor rate of $3 per hour.
Visitor parking

Where can visitors park, and what are the rates?
Yellow bays: at $3 per hour via the EasyPark app or parking machines.
Green bays: are specially reserved for clinic and gallery visitors only, at $3 per hour.

Where are parking machines located?
Parking machines are located in Yellow and green zones, but NOT in Red zones. All parking sessions purchased through the parking machines are at the visitor rate of $3 per hour. Always refer to parking signs for restrictions and guidelines.
Using EasyPark at UWA

How to get started
- All eligible staff and students will be emailed a link from EasyPark
- Download the EasyPark app from your phone's App Store or Google Play
- Create an account, register your car details and add a payment method
Note: You can also create an account via the EasyPark website.
- After you have created your account from the EasyPark emailed link, you will receive a confirmation email from UniPark on how to associate your EasyPark account to your UWA profile.

How does the EasyPark app work?
- Ensure your vehicle registration number, payment details and student / staff details (where applicable) are recorded in EasyPark.
- Add your parking area code (this will be on the signage in the car park).
- Spin the wheel within the app to select your desired parking duration and click start parking to initiate your parking session.
- If you leave earlier than planned, remember to stop your EasyPark session via the app. You will only be charged for the actual time you have stayed on campus.

Do I have to pay to use the app?
No, the app is free to download and use.

What if I don't have a smartphone?
Without a smartphone, you can pay at parking machines located in Yellow zones, or use the online EasyPark payment form.
- Ensure you locate a parking bay before submitting the form.
- No refunds are available once the form has been submitted.

Can I still pay for parking at machines?Yes, you can pay for parking at the parking machines using a credit/debit card if you prefer not to use the EasyPark app, provided that parking machines are available in the area.

Where can I find parking machines?
Parking machines are ONLY located in yellow zone and green (special reserved visitor) zones, NOT in red zones.
Regardless of how you pay, you should always refer to parking signs for restrictions.

What if my phone doesn't support EasyPark?
Your phone must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Android: minimum Android 6 Marshmallow (API 23)
- iPhone: minimum iPhone 8 running iOS version 16

How do I add or change my payment details?
Payment details can be changed in the EasyPark app or on the EasyPark website.

What if I bring a different car to campus?
Update your vehicle registration in the EasyPark app to the vehicle you have brought in that day:
- Go to EasyPark app
- Click the Menu (top-right)
- Select "Vehicles" and add new vehicle and save.
