As the University of Western Australia’s Chief Financial Officer, Leona Marquand is responsible for a broad portfolio, including the University’s overall financial management through Finance, Strategy, Planning and Performance and Student Load & Planning directorates.

Prior to joining the University, Leona held senior leadership positions within top-tier consulting firms in the Channel Islands, UK and Australia providing expert advice to global corporates on investments, financial performance and corporate assurance. A Fellow Chartered Accountant, member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, with an extensive international career, Leona brings strong expertise in commercial business, investment & finance.

As a member of UWA’s Executive, Leona draws on her proven global experience to support the University’s strategy, combining her deep knowledge of higher education with financial performance to ensure alignment to vision.

Leona also holds external board positions, as Deputy Chair of the Sister’s of St John of God Financial Advisory Committee.
