Professor Tim Colmer is the Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor of The University of Western Australia. Prior to his current role, Professor Colmer served UWA as: Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Research (Dec 2019-Dec 2021); Acting Pro Vice-Chancellor, Research (Aug 2018-Nov 2019); Head, School of Plant Biology (2013-2015); and as a Teaching and Research Academic, including as Coordinator of the Master of Agricultural Science (2014-2018).

Professor Colmer provides leadership and management of the UWA College of Schools, working collaboratively with the Heads of Schools and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of resources and academic initiatives in the delivery of the University's strategic plan. Professor Colmer is also a Board Member for the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research (2022- ) and VenuesWest (2023- ).
