  • Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Contact Officers

    UWA’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Contact Officers are trained to provide confidential advice and preliminary support in cases where staff or students feel uncomfortable or distressed by the conduct of another member of the University community.   • Cultural and Linguistic Diversity Working Group
    The Cultural and Linguistic Diversity Working Group aims to raise the visibility of the University’s multicultural community, educate on matters pertaining to multiculturalism and support UWA’s multicultural community.   • Disability Access and Inclusion Working Group
    The Disability Access and Inclusion Working Group aims to make UWA accessible for staff and students with a disability. They educate the UWA community and raise awareness for issues affecting people living with a disability. The Physical and Wayfinding group, a sub-committee of the Working Group, works closely with UniAccess and Campus Management to identify areas of improvement and implement change.   • Gender Equity Working Group

    The Gender Equity Working Group advocates for and works towards gender equity at UWA, and is responsible for the Science and Gender Equity (SAGE) Athena SWAN Swan accreditation and Action Plan. The executive sponsor is Professor Tim Colmer. To learn more, contact [email protected].

  • LGBTIQA+ Working Group

    The LGBTIQA+ Working Group supports the inclusion of LGBTIQA+ staff and students. It acts a body of expertise, primarily through the lived experience of its members, and contributes to the delivery of Ally training. This Group coordinates the University’s Pride and Ally Networks, and participation in Pride events. The executive sponsor of the LGBTIQA+ Working Group is Professor Tim Colmer.   • Student Equity and Participation Working Group
    The Student Equity and Participation Working Group supports the increasing diversity of our student cohort and promoting inclusive practice through the UWA Student Access and Participation Framework.
