UWA Security is available 24/7 to respond to emergencies, investigate incidents, thefts, and help with your lost property. 

Need immediate help?

  • Life-threatening situation: Dial 000 immediately.
  • Other emergencies requiring police: Call 131 444.

  • Activate a Help Point.
  • Press the ‘Emergency’ button on your SafeZone app.

Personal safety incident/concerns

If you experience or witness a situation that threatens your safety or someone else’s, immediately use one of the services listed above for help. 

What should you report:

  • Threats of suicide or physical harm 
  • Potential crimes like stalking 
  • Concerns for or missing persons 
  • Suspicious activity 
  • Disorderly or disruptive conduct 

Hazards and physical environment issues 

Call Security, or use the ‘Report Something’ button in your SafeZone app. 
These can include: 

  • Alarm faults 
  • Fallen trees 
  • Maintenance issues
  • Graffiti 
  • Emergency situations such as fire or flood 
  • Unauthorised access 
  • Chemical spills  

If your property is lost or stolen

If you have misplaced, lost, or had an item stolen on campus:

Counselling, support and reporting services

We understand incidents can be upsetting. If you have been affected, support services are available for you.
Depending on the nature of the incident, you may have the option to file a complaint with the University's Complaint Resolution Unit.
Tap the ‘Wellbeing Assistance’ section of the SafeZone app for a list of services available to you.
