Your Orientation is personalised to suit your individual needs as a student. It is essential to attend as it will help you in being more familiarised with the campus, give you the chance to meet with other students and staff. O-Week is held from 17-21 February 2025.

Connect with a UniMentor
As a new student, you can connect with a UniMentor to help you navigate life at UWA. UniMentors are experienced students who can provide advice and recommendations on uni life or catch up with you on campus. You will be able to connect with your Mentor on the Vygo app from early July via an invitation to your student email.

Just for Me, How to UWA Guide: Complete your online personalised "Just for Me, How To UWA Guide", which will provide you with tips and resources to help you get off to a strong start with UWA.

Non - Standard Courses: Non Standard Courses at UWA are courses that commence outside of the traditional Semester 1 or Semester 2 teaching weeks. You can review handbook for your specific course to understand the course and unit specific start dates, as well as the UWA important Dates Calendar. Contact your Allocated Student Office and School or Course Coordinator for advise and information related to your orientation.

Welcome ceremony; Friday 21 February

The Welcome Ceremony will be held for all commencing students on Friday 21 February at Winthrop Hall, Crawley campus. 

The ceremony provides a formal welcome to the University by a dignitary and the UWA Guild President. Students also receive a Noongar Welcome to Country.

UWA Residential College specific sessions

If you are a new College Row resident then it is important you attend your College specific orientation activities. You will be emailed directly about these activities.

UWA College Row includes; St Catherine’s College, St George’s College, St Thomas More College, Trinity Residential College and University Hall.
