1: Connect with a UniMentor
As a new student, you can connect with a UniMentor to help you navigate life at UWA. UniMentors are experienced students who can provide advice and recommendations on uni life. You will be able to connect with your Mentor on the Vygo app. The program opens for non-standard course commencement 2025 on 8 January 2025 and for Semester 1 2025, on 4 February 2025. Don’t worry, we will send you an email invitation once the program opens.
2: The right information at the right time – just for you
Complete your online personalised "Just for Me - How to UWA Guide", which will provide you with tips and resources to help you get off to a strong start with UWA with information about our Crawley campus services.
3: Follow UWA students on social media
A great way to keep up to date and to be informed with key information from UWA is to follow the UWA students social media accounts

All students are now required to bring their own device to campus to access the majority of UWA’s systems through a web-based virtual desktop. Make sure that you have the right tech before your first day!

5: Plan your journey to campus
The most popular option for transport to our campuses is via public transportation (Transperth) and UWA is committed to sustainable transport options with end of trip facilities available.

6: Download SafeZone app
The free SafeZone app connects staff and students with UWA’S Security team during a first aid or emergency situation for all of our campus locations across WA. This includes a check-in option and escorts to your car or busport.
7: Explore more as a new student

8: Join UWA Guild Clubs and Societies
Make friends outside your degree, pursue your passions and find new opportunities by joining one of UWA Guild’s many student groups. Visit the Guild Student Centre to get your official Guild diary full of discounts and key information.
