Outstanding Facilities
Built in the 1970s, the Callaway Music Auditorium was constructed with acoustics that impress even today. It is a noteworthy performance space designed for ensemble rehearsals, lectures, recitals, performances and workshops.
The Cullity Gallery is a unique venue showcasing innovative works in visual arts, architecture, landscape architecture and design. The clean, open space is open to the public five days a week, the gallery hosts three dedicated student exhibitions a year as well as a number of private displays.
The Eileen Joyce Studio is a multifunctional teaching, seminar and performance space, built through the generosity of world-renowned Australian concert pianist Dr Eileen Joyce. Officially opened in 1981, the space seats up to 70 and includes views of the picturesque Somerville Auditorium.
Ways to study music at UWA
There are different pathways available at our Conservatorium of Music, including a Bachelor of Music with streams in Performance, Composition, Musicology, Studio Teaching and Creative Music Technology.
Where our graduates go
UWA Conservatorium of Music alumni perform in every major orchestra in Australia and as chamber musicians and soloists around the world. They are award-winning composers, creators, artists, producers and sound designers, influencing the landscape of music in Australia and globally.
School of Design graduates are creative thinkers and makers who include leading landscape architects, urban designers, experimental artists, historians and architects.
