Hirers' public liability insurance

This policy covers the legal liability of hirers of UWA facilities for negligence resulting in third-party bodily injury or property damage arising out of their activities where NO alternative insurance is in place.

People insured by this policy

• Various hirers of UWA facilities, The University of Western Australia, its employees and governing body, honorary research fellows, members of University committees whether or not employees of the University, and all related companies and organisations of the University including those acquired or incorporated during the policy term.
• Hirers' public liability insurance is intended to indemnify UWA in respect of negligence of hirers of UWA facilities, where hirers do not carry or have inadequate Public Liability insurance.

Limits

• Hirers are required to hold a Public Liability insurance policy with a minimum limit of liability of $20 million.
• Hirers who do not hold the minimum limit will be required to access UWA's Hirers Public Liability policy at the time of booking by payment of the appropriate fee.

Exclusions

This policy does not extend to cover hirers of UWA facilities if adequate alternative insurance is held.

Special conditions

This cover is only available to recognised hirers of UWA facilities, AFTER the required fee is paid.
