All UWA staff are committed to support you on your career journey, from your tutors and lecturers to the Careers and Employability team. Within this team, we have qualified practitioners with extensive experience in career development that will help you set up for career success while studying.
Career Development Consultant, Careers and Experiential Learning
Natasha is part of the Careers and Employability team that provide career advice, career education presentations and resources to assist all UWA students explore and navigate their career journeys. Natasha has over ten years’ experience as a Careers Consultant in University education and is dedicated to helping students understand their career choices and pathways as well as how to succeed in the job seeking and recruitment process.
Senior Team Lead, Careers and Experiential Learning
Glenys and her team focus on advancing employability through Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) programs connecting academic learning with industry practice. Collaborating and fostering partnerships with industry, these experiences let students apply classroom knowledge to real-world challenges, gaining practical skills and professional insights. These initiatives not only enhance students' job readiness but also foster essential career connections, helping them seamlessly transition into the workforce and thrive in their chosen fields.
Lecturer, Human Resource Management & Organisational Behaviour
Joseph teaches both the Human Resource Management and the Managing Jobs, Performance, and Wellbeing units in the Business School. The units are designed to make students evidence-based practitioners by emphasising the application of research evidence and critical thinking to real-world problems. Students are prepared for the challenges of industry through in-depth case analysis and career coaching.
Master of Teaching Primary Course Coordinator
Gemma has experience teaching both primary and high school students. She enjoys mentoring and preparing UWA Master of Teaching students to be caring and effective practitioners who support the diverse needs of students. Gemma also received a 2020 UWA Award for Excellence in Teaching.
