
Western Series
The Western Series aims to provide the opportunity for students from diverse backgrounds to compete in exciting local intervarsity competitions against other Western Australian universities.
In 2025 the following Western Series events are planned:

International Student Challenge
When: Wednesday 26 March 2025, 8am-4pm (lunch provided)
Where: UWA Sports Hall, UWA Crawley Campus
Sports: Volleyball, Badminton, Soccer & Cricket
Eligibility: International and study abroad students

- Monday 10 March, 4:00pm-5:30pm @ UWA Sports Hall (Badminton and Volleyball)
- Wednesday 12 March, 7:30am-9:00am @ UWA James Oval (Soccer)
- Monday 17 March, 4:00pm-5:30pm @ UWA James Oval Cricket Nets (Cricket)
- Wednesday 19 March, 12:00pm-2:00pm @ UWA Sports Hall (Badminton and Volleyball)

Pride Cup
The Pride Cup is exciting opportunity for LGBTQIA+ students and their active allies* from all Western Australian universities to participate in All Gender sporting competition. This event is in partnership with LGBTQIA+ sporting organisation 'Pride Cup'
When: October 2025
Where: UWA Fitness and Recreation Centre
Sports: 3x3 Basketball, Hockey and Ultimate Frisbee
Eligibility: LGBTQIA+ students and active allies
Teams: Minimum 3 people, maximum 5 people. Each team member needs to complete an individual registration
Cost: Free*Active Ally: Students who are allies to the LGBTQIA+ students competing in this event and visibly support the inclusion of all LGBTQIA+ people. Active Allies understand the discrimination and harassment that many LGBTQIA+ people face and continue to educate themselves on how they can be an active ally.

All Abilities Cup
UWA Sport will host the third Western Series All Abilities Cup. An exciting opportunity for students from all Western Australian universities to participate in the Wheelchair Footy sporting competition. This event is in partnership with the West Australian All Abilities Football Association (WAAAFA).
When: August 2025
Where: UWA Fitness and Recreation Centre
Sport: Wheelchair Footy
Eligibility: Current UWA students of all abilities
Registrations: Open to individual or team registrations (teams of 5 to 7 students)
Cost: Free
