The Western Series aims to provide the opportunity for students to compete in exciting local intervarsity competitions against other Western Australian universities.
In 2024 the following Western Series events are planned:

Pride Cup
UWA Sport will host the inaugural Western Series Pride Cup. An exciting opportunity for LGBTQIA+ students and their active allies* from all Western Australian universities to participate in All Gender sporting competition. This event is in partnership with LGBTQIA+ sporting organisation 'Pride Cup'
When: Tuesday 30 July, 9am-3pm
Where: UWA Fitness and Recreation Centre
Sports: 3x3 Basketball, Hockey and Ultimate Frisbee
Eligibility: LGBTQIA+ students and active allies
Teams: Minimum 3 people, maximum 5 people. Each team member needs to complete an individual registration

*Active Ally: This is open to students who are allies to the LGBTQIA+ students competing in this event and visibly supports the inclusion of all LGBTQIA+ people. Understanding the discrimination and harassment that many LGBTQIA+ face and continue to educate themselves on how they can be an active ally.

All Abilities Cup
UWA Sport will host the second Western Series All Abilities Cup. An exciting opportunity for students from all Western Australian universities to participate in the Wheelchair Footy sporting competition. This event is in partnership with the West Australian All Abilities Football Association (WAAAFA).
When: Tuesday 27 August, 9am-1pm
Where: UWA Fitness and Recreation Centre

Registrations: Open to individual or team registrations (teams of 5 to 7 students)
