Living and learning at college

The colleges support and enrich your degree by offering great places to live and opportunities, programs and activities that create an all-inclusive learning experience.

As academic, cultural and social communities, the colleges are vibrant centres of living and learning, every day.

  • Each college has a thriving academic and intellectual culture. To actively engage with the 'big picture' issues of the day, the colleges host programs, guest speakers, robust debates and experienced alumni.
  • Onsite tutoring assists your studies. Support varies from weekly tutorials and group study sessions to peer-to-peer mentoring and one-on-one tuition.
  • There are plenty of avenues to pursue your artistic, musical and cultural interests, serve the wider community (an important keystone attribute of college living), participate in inter-college sporting competitions and develop your leadership skills and capabilities.

Comfortable and convenient

While each college has its own look and feel, all create comfortable, secure and convenient living environments:

  • The colleges typically have private, fully furnished, well set-up bedrooms and provide common rooms, study areas, libraries, resource or computer rooms, music rooms and various social, sporting and recreational spaces.
  • Fully catered, the colleges offer students three meals a day.
  • Only a short stroll across the road to the University, you have easy access to classes, UWA's libraries, the Cultural Precinct, sporting facilities and Guild clubs and societies. College clubs organise activities and events within and between the colleges, giving you a vibrant social calendar.

The colleges are located along ‘College Row' – next to the main campus close to the Swan River, Kings Park and the city.
