The University of Western Australia ('the University') provides scholarships to assist and encourage high-performing student-athletes to pursue an undergraduate qualification at the University and realise their dual career focus.

Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for the scholarship, an applicant must—
(a) be a domestic student;1
(b) be a commencing student2 or have at least three years of study remaining at their current study rate;
(c) qualify for the UWA Student Athlete Development Program (SADP) as an elite or emerging tier athlete;3 and
(d) be enrolled, or eligible to enrol in an undergraduate degree course at the University.
Applicants need to provide a letter of support from their relevant sporting body or sporting organisation if not able to be obtained by the sporting body. The letter must confirm current representation level as well as highlight any recent sporting achievements achieved.
1 An Australian citizen or permanent resident or holder of a Permanent Humanitarian Visa or a New Zealand citizen.
2 Enrolled, or eligible to enrol, in the first 48 points of a bachelor’s degree course at the University and have not previously undertaken study towards an Australian bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
3 An Emerging athlete is classed a—
• National underage squad member;
• WAIS squad member or scholarship holder;
• National league or professional club squad member; or
• World University Championships squad member.
