The University of Western Australia provides this scholarship to encourage high-achieving students to undertake a major in Engineering Science, and subsequently the Master of Professional Engineering (MPE), at the University by accepting the offer of an Engineering Direct Pathway into the MPE.

Eligibility
Eligible applicants to the University will be automatically considered for the scholarship and do not need to submit a separate application.
(a) be a domestic student
(b) have completed the requirements of Year 12 for the Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) or equivalent in the year prior to commencement
(c) have achieved an official Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR)3 of at least 96.00 or equivalent
(d) have applied for a place at the University, through TISC, as their first preference and have nominated an Engineering Direct Pathway into the Master of Professional Engineering
(e) receive an offer of a place at the University via the Engineering Direct Pathway into the Master of Professional Engineering in the first round of offers and
(f) be eligible to enrol full-time and
(g) in an undergraduate degree course with a major in Engineering Science or double major in Automation and
Robotics.
Benefits
A total of $25,000 for candidates with an ATAR of at least 98.00 which includes-
(a) $5000 per annum for an undergraduate degree course; and
(b) $5000 per annum for the MPE.
Duration of scholarship:
1. A maximum of two semesters for candidates with an ATAR between 96 and 97.95 inclusive.
2. A maximum of 10 semesters, for candidates with an ATAR of at least 98.00 which includes a maximum of—
(a) six semesters, which are normally consecutive, for an undergraduate degree, with a major in Engineering Science or the Bachelor of Automation and Robotics; and
(b) four semesters, which are normally consecutive, for the MPE; or
(c) eight semesters, which are normally consecutive, for a Bachelor of Philosophy (Honours) course with an Engineering Science major, or Automation and Robotics double major, and;
(d) two semesters, which are normally consecutive for the MPE.
