RIO TINTO RESIDENTIAL INDIGENOUS LEADERSHIP SCHOLARSHIP

COURSEWORK

Rio Tinto Pty Ltd has donated funds to The University of Western Australia ('the University') to provide a scholarship to assist an eligible Indigenous Australian student with the cost of accommodation, at UniHall or one of the UWA affiliated residential colleges, and other expenses whilst completing undergraduate studies at the University.

Eligibility

To be eligible to be considered for the scholarship, an applicant must—
(a) an Australian Indigenous person;
(b) not be in receipt of the Residential Cost Option through Centrelink;
(c) be residing, or have accepted and offer of a place, at UniHall or one of the UWA affiliated residential colleges;
(d) be enrolled—
(i) full-time unless the selection body is satisfied that there are exceptional circumstances which preclude full-time enrolment; and
(ii) in an undergraduate degree course.

Benefits

To assist an eligible Indigenous Australian student with the cost of accommodation, at UniHall or one of the UWA affiliated residential colleges, and other expenses whilst completing undergraduate studies at the University.
