Colin Mort (1926-2016) was an Architect predominantly based in Bunbury in regional Western Australia. The Colin Mort Scholarship was established through his generous bequest to the Western Australian Chapter of the Royal Australian Institute of Architects. In honour of his legacy and commitment to regional WA the scholarship will provide financial assistance for regional students during their first year of study in Architecture at The University of Western Australia. To be eligible for a scholarship applicants must be based in and have a permanent residential address in a regional location within WA and be enrolled in the UWA Design@Home foundation program in Architecture.

Eligibility
Eligible applicants to the University are automatically considered for the scholarship and do not need to submit a separate application.
To be eligible for the scholarship, you must—
(a) be a domestic student;
(b) be from a regional or remote area;
(c) be a commencing student;
(d) have applied for a place in a—
(i) Bachelor of Environmental Design with a major in Architecture and;
(e) be in the Design@Home program
Benefits
This scholarship is to assist and encourage students in the Design@Home Program at the University.
Students will be awarded up to $10,000 which comprises of $8,000 to be paid across the first year of study and a potential additional $2000 to cover relocation costs in the second year of study.
