UWA College’s Diploma programs prepare you for entry into the second year of your UWA undergraduate degree. With tailored academic and English language support, you will study program material equivalent to the first year of a UWA bachelor's degree, meaning you can still complete your undergraduate degree in the standard number of years.
Equivalent to first year university
As a Diploma student, you will study tailored course content that is equivalent to the first year of a UWA undergraduate degree. Our courses have been designed in collaboration with UWA, which means you’re learning university-level content in a personalised and supportive environment to ensure you are ready to succeed in your university studies.
Guaranteed pathway to second year at UWA
With a Diploma program, upon the successful completion of your UWA College studies you’ll enter the second year of your UWA degree. This means you’ll graduate in the standard number of years, not adding any additional time onto your undergraduate degree and benefitting from a tailored UWA College support program in your first year.

Diploma in Commerce
Success in the boardroom starts with UWA College’s Diploma in Commerce. Strengthening English language comprehension through tailored support, you’ll be equipped with relevant and applicable industry skills across a range of areas, including economics, finance, marketing, communications and law. Developing your business acumen and understanding of the modern business world, when you successfully complete the Diploma in Commerce, you can progress into the second year of UWA’s Bachelor of Business or Bachelor of Commerce.
Diploma in Computer and Data Science
The Diploma in Computer and Data Science is a comprehensive program designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to progress to UWA’s Bachelor of Science, majoring in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Data Science. Offering a broad range of subjects across programming languages, data analysis, and network security, you’ll have the added flexibility of being able to study business units to expand your career potential. With an emphasis on developing communication skills, you’ll learn how to confidently communicate complex academic matters to a variety of audiences, preparing you for your studies at UWA.
Diploma in Engineering
Graduate as an industry-ready engineer in as few as four years from the first day of your UWA College Diploma in Engineering to the last day of your UWA Bachelor of Engineering (Honours). After building on your mathematics and physics knowledge, in the final trimester of your Diploma you’ll join first-year UWA engineering students as you study the same university subjects alongside them for a truly integrated pathway experience. When you progress to the second year of UWA’s Bachelor of Engineering (Honours), you can choose from nine engineering majors to really match your studies to your career aspirations.
