Addressing critical global challenges, such as climate change, international security, poverty, and inequality, demands individuals with a global outlook, a commitment to ethical choices, and a drive to make a positive impact on the world. UWA offers two programs that share a global perspective and emphasise the importance of ethical decision-making for a brighter future: the Bachelor of International Relations and the Bachelor of Social and Environmental Sustainability.

Bachelor of International Relations

Our Bachelor of International Relations is a practical and career-focused program, the only one of its kind in the State. You can specialise in either Language and Cultures, focusing on a specific region, or Global Histories and Futures, which provides a broader global perspective. You’ll develop practical skills and industry networks through our wide range of language exchange opportunities and in-country fieldwork.

With a unique emphasis on the Indo-Pacific region, you'll be prepared for roles as Diplomats, Policy Makers, Organisational Leaders, or Researchers. Learn more from Lecturer Alexander Davies and Senior Lecturer Kelly Gerard.

Bachelor of Social and Environmental Sustainability

Explore a distinctive blend of social sciences, humanities, environmental studies, and policy, in our Bachelor of Social and Environmental Sustainability. You'll delve into the latest sustainability research and best practices, engage with community and industry experts, and gain hands-on experience in addressing complex social and environmental challenges. You’ll also gain insights on engaging with Indigenous knowledge.

Join our mission to create a more equitable and sustainable future for all. Learn more from Amanda Davies, Head of School of the UWA School of Social Sciences.
