The LNG 12 Conference Committee has donated a sum of $450,000 to The University of Western Australia ('the University') to establish a fund to provide scholarships in gas process engineering at the University.

Eligibility
o be eligible to apply for a scholarship, an applicant must—
(a) be a citizen or permanent resident of Australia (including a Humanitarian visa); and
(b) be enrolled, or eligible to enrol, in the first 48 points of the Master of Professional Engineering (Chemical Engineering specialisation) degree course; or
(c) have completed the first 48 points of the Master of Professional Engineering (Chemical Engineering specialisation) and enrolled, or eligible to enrol, in CHPR5521 Gas Processing 1—Flow Assurance and Gathering and CHPR5522 Gas Processing 2—Treating and LNG Production; and
(d) include a statement (maximum 250 words), endorsed by the Chevron Chair in Gas Process Engineering, demonstrating sufficient understanding of the importance of—
(i) (first year applicants) natural gas to the world’s current and future energy needs; or
(ii) (second year applicants) LNG and natural gas processing to Australia.
