Ms Merle Smith has donated fund to The University of Western Australia ('the University') to provide a scholarship to encourage and assist high achieving students enrolled in a Master of Biotechnology or Master of Clinical Pathology to undertake a research project in the area of clinical biochemistry.

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply for the scholarship, an applicant must be enrolled, or eligible to enrol—
(a) commencing a research project focusing on physiological or disease pathways in human or animal models and
(b) be enrolled or eligible to enrol in the—
(i) Master of Biomedical Science (71520) specialising in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology;
(ii) Master of Clinical Pathology (92510) specialising in Clinical Biochemistry; or
(iii) Master of Biotechnology (71580).
