Dr Jones' daughter, Ms Sarah Beshar, and the Beshar family have donated funds to The University of Western Australia ('the University') to provide a scholarship in honour of Sarah's mother, Dr June Jones AM, to encourage and assist a female student who is experiencing educational disadvantage to undertake a Master of Teaching (coursework) at the University. The Centenary Trust for Women has provided additional funding to endow the scholarship in honour of Dr June Jones in recognition of services to the University and the Centenary Trust for Women by Dr Jones.

Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for a scholarship, an applicant must be—
(a) a domestic student;
(b) female;
(c) experiencing educational disadvantage; and
(d) enrolled, or eligible to enrol—
(i) full-time, and
(ii) in the Master of Teaching (coursework) degree course, specialising in Early Childhood, Primary, or Secondary.
