The Country Medical Foundation has donated funds to The University of Western Australia ('the University') to provide scholarships to assist and encourage students who are experiencing financial hardship, and who are from a regional or remote background from Western Australia, to complete the Doctor of Medicine at the University. The scholarships are established in recognition of the role played by the Country Medical Foundation in fostering improved health care services in country Western Australia.

Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for a scholarship an applicant must—
(a) be a domestic student;
(b) have completed the requirements for Year 11 and 12 at a Western Australian secondary school;
(c) be from a regional or remote area of Western Australia;
(d) demonstrate financial hardship;
(e) have completed the first 48 points of the Doctor of Medicine; and
(f) be enrolled full-time in the Doctor of Medicine.
