William Barton is Australia’s leading didgeridoo player as well as composer, instrumentalist and vocalist. For two decades, William has forged a peerless profile as a performer and composer in the classical musical world, from the Philharmonic Orchestras of London and Berlin to historic events at Westminster Abbey for Commonwealth Day 2019, Anzac Cove and the Beijing Olympics. William was named Queensland Australian of the Year for 2023 and was an Australian of the Year nominee.

In this very special event, William sits down with Chair of Musicology, Dr Sarah Collins in conversation about his incredible career and professional life, as well as discussing his upcoming performance with the West Australian Symphony Orchestra.

Don't miss this opportunity to hear from William in the intimate surrounds of UWA’s Callaway Music Auditorium as he reflects on his life in music.
