Percussion Masterclass
Practice and Preparation Techniques: How to play your best when preparing for ATAR auditions, Uni auditions, Solo/Ensemble performances, and beyond!
Aimed at secondary and early tertiary students, these free masterclasses offer a unique opportunity to work up close and personal with members of the WASO percussion section (Brian Maloney, François Combémorel and Alex Timcke).
Students will learn how to effectively practice as well as develop various techniques that facilitate smooth performances and the ability to learn and comprehend music at a faster pace.
Students are encouraged to bring a piece of music to perform on snare drum, mallets, or timpani.
When:
Saturday 14 November, 2pm (Years 7-10)
Sunday 15 November, 10am (Years 10-12 and uni students)
Please note: While the masterclasses are catered to specific years on each day, students are more than welcome to come to either session if it works better for their schedule.
