The Irwin Street Collective season opener celebrates the Baroque era’s love affair with the virtuosic brilliance of the violin and the soprano voice, and the three composers who have come to define this era: Bach, Handel, and Vivaldi. Shaun Lee-Chen performs Vivaldi’s evocatively programmatic Four Seasons concertos and Sara Macliver sings some of the operatic arias that conquered stages throughout Europe. Bach’s Third Orchestral Suite, featuring his beloved Air, to round out the evening.
