Accelerate! Winds offers talented woodwind players in Years 10-12 the chance to refine their skills through practical workshops, masterclasses, and boot camps across 2025.
Led by Ashley Smith, the program includes the opportunity to attend activities alongside UWA students and learn from a host of industry professionals.
Topics include:
- Choosing and preparing repertoire for your ATAR performance program
- Refining your practise
- Tips for optimising the air and the posture
- Developing a positive mindset for elite performance
- Overcoming performance anxiety
- Working with an accompanist

Application details: Entry is via audition. Record yourself playing your best piece (on a phone is fine) and send it to us along with a statement about why you'd like to be part of Accelerate.
