UWA Law School Dean's Foundation
Established in 1927, UWA Law School is one of the oldest law schools in Australia and the oldest in Western Australia. Our alumni include a Prime Minister, a Chief Justice of the High Court of Australia, numerous High Court judges, Federal Attorneys-General, a Young Australian of the Year, the first Aboriginal person to serve as Treasurer in any Australian government and the first Aboriginal WA Supreme Court Judge. UWA Law School alumni have become partners in leading law firms and General Counsel and Global Heads of major organisations across the world.
UWA Law School is proud of its success in producing remarkable graduates for nearly a century.
Philanthropic support is critical to our ongoing success.
The Dean’s Foundation, established in 2022, is a corporate donor program that seeks to ensure our continued success. This is a separate initiative from the Dean’s Circle, which creates partnerships with our individual alumni.
Opportunities for members
Membership of the Dean’s Foundation provides your organisation with an opportunity to build a long-term partnership between your organisation and UWA Law School, and to contribute to the development and support of our students. This in turn will provide your organisation with a platform to foster a more direct relationship with our students and staff, and to enhance your corporate image among our students. Membership reflects a high level of commitment to the Law School and a shared vision for ensuring sustained excellence.

Becoming a member
Your organisation can become a member of the Foundation by making a financial contribution. The Law School will work with you to determine how your contribution will be used. It could be directed towards scholarships, student competitions, teaching spaces, or research projects, to name a few ideas. One of the Foundation's current priorities is to appoint a dedicated Health and Well-being Officer in the Law School to provide much-needed pastoral care to our students so as to build and strengthen their resilience, equipping them for a long and successful career in the law.
In making a contribution, your organisation will be recognised as a member of the Dean’s Foundation as a ‘Lead Partner’, ‘Partner’ or ‘Supporter’, depending on the level of gift.
