Consumer and Community Involvement

The University of Western Australia’s vision is to provide world-class education, research and community engagement for the advancement of the prosperity and welfare of our communities.

UWA has a long history of engagement with our community. We are committed to the involvement of consumers and community in the ideation, delivery and translation of research and innovation to ensure best practice research and outcomes. Ensuring researchers and academics have the opportunity to build their knowledge and skills in working with people with lived experience, together with investing in training and capacity building sets the University apart as a leader in the health, research and community sector.

UWA works closely with the WA Health and Translation Network CCIProgram to provide guidance, support and resources regarding consumer and community involvement (CCI) in research to our research community.
