UWA Maali T20 Cricket representatives have been selected to represent Australian Universities in an upcoming T20 Cricket tour of India.

UniSport Australia, in partnership with the Association of Indian Universities, have created the opportunity for student cricketers from Australian universities to compete in a series of six matches against prominent Indian university teams in Mumbai and Bhubaneshwar in November 2024.

The selection of the two UWA Maali athletes comes off the back of an impressive T20 Nationals campaign where the team placed second in a field of eleven. Representatives for the Tour were selected by a panel based on the players’ performance both on and off the field during the competition held in July 2024. A reciprocal tour is planned for March 2025, when an Indian representative team is slated to tour Australia and play matches against UniSport Nationals T20 teams.
