The University of Western Australia’s Business School has been placed in Australia’s top five in the AFR BOSS Best Business Schools ranking for 2023.

UWA’s Business School was ranked fourth in Australia out of 37 institutions, including third for quality and eighth for reputation.
The rankings assess Australia’s leading business schools across three key dimensions: reputation, education quality, and career advancement.
UWA Business School Dean and Head of School, Professor Peter Robertson said the recognition, two years in a row, highlighted UWA’s consistency in delivering exceptional business education.
"These rankings underscore our ongoing efforts to provide a learning environment that fosters innovation and prepares students for success in a rapidly evolving business landscape,” Professor Robertson said.

Diane Smith-Gander AO leads the advisory board of the UWA Business School, which features a diverse lineup of Perth's top-tier executives, including Dr Mark Barnaba AM, a board member of the Reserve Bank, Meg O'Neill, CEO of Woodside Energy, Rob Scott, CEO of Wesfarmers and Simon Trott, the head of Rio's Iron Ore division.
“As both an alumnus of the UWA Business School and the Chair of the Board, I take pride in my association with this world-class institution,” Ms Smith-Gander said.
“I can personally attest to the exceptional quality of the students and teaching staff in the UWA MBA program through my annual masterclass in corporate governance.
“Advisory Board members actively engage in teaching and mentoring Business School students and contribute to the Dean's strategic initiatives.

UWA’s Vice Chancellor Professor Amit Chakma said the ranking was a reflection of the hard work and talent of the University’s outstanding Business School staff and students.
