The UWA Sports – Sports Excellence Australian Football Rules Scholarship has been awarded to Emily Elkington.

The Goodeve Foundation has donated funds to The University of Western Australia to provide scholarship to assist and encourage high-achieving student playing for University Football Club to pursue an undergraduate degree at the University and realise their dual career focus.

Female scholarship recipient, Emily Elkington, is currently studying a Bachelor of Biomedical Science, and is playing in the AFLW competition with the West Coast Eagles.

" This scholarship means a lot to me. It allows me to focus not only on my sport but all future endeavours with my studies."

UWA Sport congratulate Emily Elkington on winning the Sports Excellence Australian Football Rules Scholarship and her coaching involvement with the UWA Football Club.

Applications for the Sports Excellence Australian Football Rules Scholarship are currently open for male students at UWA.
