UBL Round 4 kick starts with UWA Maali taking on Victoria University on Tuesday 4 April at Joondalup.
After a game changing experience last week, the UWA Maali side are looking to keep it momentum and winning streak into this week’s match up against a formidable Victoria University team. This game will allow UWA Maali to further consolidate the strategy and game play that saw both teams produce entertaining and thrilling basketball against La Trobe University. The heightened competitiveness in season three of the University Basketball League (UBL) has intensified the competition and rivalry between teams. For the first time, UWA Maali will only have the one game this round, allowing for fresh bodies to take the court this game. The host team are eager to capitalise on the current form and propel into the remainder of the season with determination and grit.
The competition will be heading into the halfway mark after this round, with UWA Maali men’s sitting 8th on the UBL ladder and the women sitting 13th on the ladder. After last week’s performance, the blue and gold team are chasing to fly higher on the ladder.
