Students who have experienced educational disadvantage are encouraged to apply for a new scholarship to pursue a Bachelor of Business at The University of Western Australia.
The Perron Foundation Scholarship in Business scholarships will offer 10 recipients $10,000 each year for three years, providing financial support to cover the cost of the course.
Funded by the Stan Perron Charitable Foundation, the scholarships will commence in Semester 1, 2021.
The Stan Perron Charitable Foundation was established in 1978 to support a range of charitable causes especially those related to the health and wellbeing of Western Australian children.Stan Perron AC was an exemplary leader in business and committed to helping young people achieve their full potential through education.
Interested applicants will need to demonstrate educational disadvantage, which may include
- distance
- economic disadvantage (school socio-economic status)
- cultural differences
- disability or ongoing medical conditions
- the responsibility for the care of children, the ill or the elderly
With an ATAR entry score of 75, the Bachelor of Business is designed to provide future business leaders with a broad business knowledge across a wide range of areas including marketing, business leadership and strategy, project management and entrepreneurship.
