Artists in Conversation - Tace Stevens
Saturday, 29 March, 2-3pm
Hear de-centre re-centre artist Tace Stevens speak about her photographic and film practice.
-----------------------
Tace Stevens is a Noongar and Spinifex visual storyteller based in Perth, Western Australia. She uses photography and film to explore this world, and to better understand who she is, as an Aboriginal woman. Building strong relationships with those she photographs allows her work to have a sense of authenticity and truth.
-----------------------
de-centre re-centre The exhibition highlights the strength and diversity of contemporary photography in Australia. Deploying and disrupting conventions of portraiture and landscape, the selected artists explore place and belonging in First Nations, diasporic and queer communities.
