Vacation and out of school care
UWA’s Out of School Care (OSC) facility, located at 18 Parkway Nedlands, will permanently close at the end of the 2024 school year.
After more than 35 years of dedicated service to the UWA community, the decision to close the facility was not made lightly.
Over the years, the childcare services industry has evolved significantly, with numerous new providers entering the market. As a result, the University has observed a significant decrease in demand for the service which has contributed to the decision to close.
We thank all centre staff and carers for their tireless support and trusted care provided to the children of UWA staff, students and the wider community over the years.
Affected staff and students have been notified and been provided with information and resources to assist them in this transition.
The final day of operation for the UWA Out of School Care will be Thursday 12 December 2024 – the last day of term four.
Please be assured that UWA’s Early Learning Centre (22 Gordon Street) and Kidz Galore (24 Parkway) in Nedlands are unaffected and will continue to provide education and care for children 0-5 years.
