Electrical safety

The risks to safety from electricity generally arise from the supply, installation and use of electrical plant and equipment, and in the design, manufacture and testing of electrical items.

The UWA-WHS-PRO-010 Electrical Safety Procedure applies to all students, staff, contractors and visitors. This includes managers and workers who carry out electrical activities under the auspices of the University and those who undertake research or a program of study at the University including undergraduate, postgraduate studies and collaboration with outside agencies.
