Course prerequisites

To be considered for admission to this course an applicant must have -

  • achieved an ATAR of at least 90, or equivalent as recognised by UWA; and
  • a scaled mark of at least 50 in ATAR Mathematics Methods, ATAR Mathematics Applications or equivalent or higher; or
  • a direct pathway offer; or
  • a place in a relevant UWA access program.

Geographical and Spatial Sciences provide an understanding of environmental processes including atmospheric, aquatic, terrestrial and anthropogenic interactions (human-environment relationships).

About the course

This combined bachelor's and master's (CBM) is a four-year accelerated program for those with an ATAR of 90 or above. You will complete the Geographical and Spatial Science extended major followed by units drawn from the Master of Environmental Science.

Course Structure

In your first three years will complete the Geographical and Spatial Science extended major, followed by a semester of postgraduate study covering units from the Master of Environmental Science. You can then choose to exit after three years with a Bachelor of Geographical and Spatial Science (Advanced); or continue with the Master of Environmental Science in your selected specialisation.
