Admission Requirements
(a) a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, or an equivalent qualification, as recognised by UWA;
or
(b)(i) a bachelor's degree in a health, biomedical or biological sciences-related discipline, or an equivalent qualification; and
(ii) at least one year of relevant professional experience;
or
(c)(i) completed the Graduate Certificate in Health Professions Education or Graduate Diploma in Health Professions Education at UWA; and
(ii) the equivalent of a UWA weighted average mark of at least 65 per cent in all core units.
Ranking and Selection Process
English competency
English is the language of instruction and assessment at UWA and you will need to meet the English language requirements of the University to be eligible for a place.
This course has higher ELC requirements. Applicants presenting with the IELTS Academic require an overall score of at least 7.0 and no band less than 6.5. For more information visit ELC requirements.

Course details
This online course fosters interdisciplinary discussion and collaboration and is designed to suit a range of health professionals who seek to develop their knowledge and skills in health professional education. Fundamental issues in health professional education are addressed and a range of option units from a number of Schools and discipline areas are available. Students can also pursue a particular area of scholarly interest within health professional education.
Due to the structure of the course, International Students can only commence in Semester 1, February, each year.
