A vibrant study space for Law School students
The Beasley Law Library is a bright and modern space providing a comfortable and functional learning environment for student research, study or collaboration.
Areas have been equipped to function with technological devices, and the library provides access to a wide range of specialised databases and an impressive collection of law journals and articles.
Named after the first Chair of Law at UWA, Professor Frank Beasley, the library opened in 1967. In 2017 the building was refurbished as part of the Law School’s 90th anniversary celebrations .
The library was designed by architect Gus Ferguson, who received a Royal Australian Institute of Architects Bronze Medal for the building in 1969 and, subsequently, an Australian Institute of Architects 25 Year Award for Enduring Architecture in 2010.
It is open from 8am to 8pm, Monday to Thursday and from 8am to 5pm on Friday during semester. UWA staff and currently enrolled students have 24-hour access to the ground and first floor with their campus card.

Accessibility
- There are automatic sliding doors at ground level entry.
- Lift access to upper floors and via stairs is available.
- Access to the upper levels of the Law School is via the walkway and is arranged by Library staff.
- 24-hour access to the ground and first floor of the Beasley Law Library is available to UWA staff and currently enrolled students.
- Accessible toilets are available on ground, lower second floor and second floor.
