About us
The Centre for Regional Development was established in 1991 and has since undertaken research for, and disseminated scholarly and applied academic information to, a range of national and government agencies, private sector and community organisations and natural resource management groups.
The Centre will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2021, a testament to our significant and valuable regional work.

News
New book on climate-induced disasters in the Asia-Pacific
Centre for Regional Development member Dr Natasha Pauli has recently published “Climate-Induced Disasters in the Asia-Pacific Region: Response, Recovery, Adaptation” with Emerald Publishing. The volume showcases research on local responses to climate-related hazards from across the Asia Pacific region, and is co-edited with Professor Andreas Neef from the University of Auckland.
