The Rural Clinical School of Western Australia (RCSWA) oversees the placement of medical students in WA towns for rural clinical elective placements.
Students in their penultimate or final year of study are eligible to apply. Placements must be two to four weeks in length.

Rural Health West Elective Scholarships 2023-2024
Rural Health West is offering scholarships of up to $2,000 to assist with travel and/or accommodation expenses.
Applicants must be current medical students at a Western Australian university enrolled in their penultimate or final year of study. Only RCSWA-approved electives in a regional, rural or remote site of MMM 2-7 status in WA will be considered.
Eligible placements must be for a minimum of two weeks duration. Preference will be given to placements of longer durations. To apply, please complete and return this form.
