Extensive study spaces and convenient facilities at the heart of the Crawley campus

The Reid Library offers around 2,000 study spaces, providing students and visitors with a range of options to meet their needs, including collaborative informal study spaces, bookable group study rooms, and quiet and silent spaces for individual study. Completed in 1964, Reid Library was UWA’s first purpose-built library, and the building was awarded a Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Bronze Medal.

Centrally located at UWA’s Crawley campus, Reid Library remains one of the busiest and most loved spaces on campus. The ground floor was extensively refurbished in 2016, with a subsequent refurbishment of Level 1 and a full infrastructure upgrade completed in 2024.

The Reid Library houses the humanities and social sciences collections and Special Collections. Features include a café, a dedicated postgraduate study space, bookable study spaces, elearning and event spaces the Wellbeing Lounge, and outdoor study spaces on the terrace and balcony. Our inclusive Library spaces include a Resource room, parents room with nursing facilities and two Sensory Rooms on level 1. Currently The Living Room service is operating from the Reid Library ground floor.
