Insight into Neurological Disorders
This micro-credential provides information on a range of neurological disorders via online lectures. Students will increase their understanding of neurological disorders including symptoms, prevalence, risk factors, mechanisms and treatments available and gain an understanding of current research in the field.
There will be 12 topics, which are covered by two lectures each. For assessment, students are required to submit each week answers to 2 questions related to the lectures' content In addition, there will be 4 online live Q and A tutorials with the coordinators and guests as appropriate to allow students to ask questions and extend their knowledge and understanding.

This is a 2 point only unit and targeted at neurological nurses or other professionals working in health or allied health, who seek to increase their understanding of neurological disorders.
How does it work?
There will be 12 topics, which are covered by two online lectures each (2/week; 24 in total), in combination with 4 online live Q&A sessions via Zoom (and recorded). These sessions will be held with the coordinators and guests as appropriate to allow students to ask questions and extend their knowledge and understanding. For assessment students write a self-reflection after each lecture pair.
